Good selection but bit more pricey than Co-op.
Place is always neat and organized. Staff have always been friendly. You don't get that sense of 'they've been working there too long' vibe so that's a plus but also keep in mind that experiences may differ. I'd argue that the only true issue with the place is that prices are typically higher than other grocery stores. If pricing is your first priority, Co-op probably has the best pricing along with very regular sales and Extra Foods is also a good alternative. Other than that, Sobeys is a great place!
Normally this is my go to place for most of my grocery needs locally. I noticed that there are times where stock is lacking or shelves are empty in areas such as veg/fruit or the dairy area. On the July 1st weekend, the store ran out of lean burger on Saturday, which was on sale, until Sunday morning. Not sure if there is a supply or local oversight issue. They have the best and most extensive deli counter in the area. The bakery is large although you won't likely get fresh baked that day until later morning or noonish. The meat/fish area is usually well stocked and excellent weekly specials. The store is a nice size for the service area. Often during early times like Sunday morning, no cash registers are open except for the customer service counter, which is inconvenient as it is not meant for medium to larger orders.
Somewhat disappointed. One item I wanted was discounted if you purchased two. Unfortunately there was only one on the shelf. Manager said 'sorry that's all we have'. I would have expected to pay the discounted price but that did not happen.
I find everything I need groceries, meat, fresh flowers. Checkout at times is busy and slow.
